Leadership Team

The Board of Directors for velos-IT have all worked for
large multi national businesses and have brought the best of
the structure, process and control of these large organisations to velos-IT.

At the same time we have balanced this with the flexibility and responsiveness that is the trade mark of smaller organisations therefore achieving the best of both worlds.

As with any team each player has their key responsibilities and position to play:

Jim McInnes, Managing Director

A computer science and MBA graduate, Jim has successfully directed several major multi national IT implementation and support programmes. As Managing Director for velos-IT Jim is instrumental in setting the tone and direction of the company being directly involved in the development of the services, the subsequent selling of these services and day to day end customer involvement.

Chris Grier, Technical Director

Chris, an electrical engineering graduate, has a distinguished track record of leading the design, development and implementation of complex software, hardware and systems integration projects across a broad range of technical architectures. As the Technical Director for velos-IT Chris is responsible for all the technical operational aspects of the services we provide.

David Smithers, Finance Director

As a CA with a systems background, David has successfully architected and implemented several major pan European and Global E-Business Suite, JD Edwards and SAP systems implementations.

In addition to the financial control aspects of his role, he is regularly involved with customers helping them to design, support and drive improvements to their own financial systems processes.

Alan Kerr, Commercial Director

Having held the position as IT Director for 2 large multi national blue chip organisations, Alan has an affinity with and an understanding of the challenges that face IT Managers in today's technically challenging and budget constrained environments.

As the Commercial Director, his role is to develop new opportunities and continue to grow velos-IT into becoming one of the countries leading IT suppliers.
