Oracle E-Business Suite

Oracle's E-Business Suite also known as Oracle Apps or EBS is a
fully integrated, comprehensive suite of business applications for
the enterprise.

It consists of a collection of enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and supply-chain management (SCM) applications either developed by or acquired by Oracle. It is considered as the main competitor to SAP.

Oracle initially released its Oracle Financials software in the late 1980's and have been expanding its functionality ever since.

In 2007, at the same time as Oracle acquired JD Edwards, Peoplesoft and Siebel, Oracle combined their Financials, HRMS and CRM applications under one umbrella and the name Oracle E-Business Suite was created.

Predominantly used by larger organisations to manage their back office operations, Oracle E-Business Suite would be regarded as one of the top 2 or 3 ERP systems in the world.
